Wantok (One Talk), or in Kiwi Whanau, sometime mates, cuzzies etc.
Here in PNG, everyone has Wantok’s. Once you arrive in the Land of the Unexpected – you too will have Wantok’s (unless you are a dickhead – then you get to talk to no-one; No Wantok).
It’s pretty awesome how living a life abroad both diminishes your family, but can create another one.
Shout out to thank our Wantok’s for being our Wantok’s. 🙂

Hi Aaron I think we may have met at the ANZ POM Gen function on Friday evening…. I intended to ask if you were the author of this blog but I got sidetracked (by the wine!!!) I have been reading your posts and on meeting you I put 2 and 2 together…..am I correct?

Hi Robin – great guess, yes I was at the Corporate Blood Drive event on Friday 🙂 Thankfully I got home at a very respectable 7:30pm – great evening, such a great cause. I should really write about all the great causes that are happening in and around Port Moresby one of these days 🙂 thanks Aaron
